What We Do…

We care for and breed our own F1 Golden Doodle females with AKC-certified Miniature Poodles, creating F1b Mini Golden Doodles. This means our puppies are 75% Poodle and 25% Golden Retriever, making them non-shedders and hypoallergenic.

We deliver each litter in our home, caring for, nurturing, and training the puppies here during their first eight weeks of life. During these crucial weeks of development, we perform neurological simulation, encourage socialization with children and adults as well as our other adult Doodles, and expose the puppies to potty training on potty trays, crate familiarity, and leash walking.

At six weeks old, we have a veterinary visit for the litter, where our veterinarian vaccinates and performs a total health assessment for each puppy. We have a great relationship with our local veterinary team; they have provided tremendous support throughout the first eight weeks before they go home.

Interviews for families applying for a puppy are first conducted via phone calls and FaceTime. As the interview process takes place, a waitlist forms for the next litter. Puppy choices are conducted both on FaceTime and in person, according to the order in which deposits are received.

Once our puppies are vaccinated, we host individual puppy visits with potential forever families. Unlike other breeders, who host “visiting days” with multiple families present, we prefer individual visits. Though it means more time spent on our part, individual visits are more relaxed and intimate for families and puppies. This allows families to interact more freely and organically without the distraction of other potential families doing the same. (It also eliminates the pressure of more than one family vying for a bond with a puppy).

By the time puppies become eight weeks old, we have weaned them from mother’s milk and steadied them on a kibble and water diet, and they can “Go Home” with their Forever Families.

This is bittersweet for us, as we get attached to each litter. We are, however, confident in our interview process and comforted to know they each head off to well-picked homes to become the newest, pampered addition to loving families!
